Job overview
We are looking to appoint a specialty doctor or equivalent level practitioner to join our community paediatric team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. We provide high-quality patient centred care, maintain excellent team working, resilience, and have developed effective, close working relationships with other colleagues across the Network.
The successful candidate will be providing 2 community clinics each week with additional administration time. They will be supported by consultant colleagues within the department and share an office with a community Speciality doctor and consultant Paediatrician. The consultant body will provide support for continuing professional development and GMC revalidation requirement.
Main duties of the job
· Assessment and management of children with developmental delay, possible ADHD and ASD.
· Assessment and management or signposting of children presenting with common community paediatric conditions like constipation, Tics, increased BMI.
· To coordinate care for children with neuro-disability, liaising with various members of the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- MRCPCH or equivalent
- Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise
- Level 3 safeguarding competency
Desirable criteria
- Valid provider status in PLS or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Some post-graduate clinical experience of community paediatric clinics
- Experience of participation in CPD
- Ability to clinically supervise junior staff
Desirable criteria
- Community clinic exposure at Registrar level
- Sound knowledge of multiple NHS structure and systems
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to lead and manage staff
- Basic IT skills
- Organisational ability
Desirable criteria
- Ability to adapt to change and lead change effectively
