Assistant Director ICS Procurement Delivery

DSFS Ltd are looking into recruiting the right person into the role of Assistant Director ICS Procurement Delivery, The Assistant Director will work across the ICS and surrounding partners to lead on development and implementation of a collaborative benefits delivery programme and wider collaborative procurement strategy, acting as a focal point for joint working in Derbyshire and beyond. They will be a recognised procurement professional with experience providing strategic advice and, critically delivery of results through existing teams, in conjunction with the SRO to all partner organisations.

Main duties of the job

This role takes responsibility for translating the commercial vision for developing procurements approach nationally, to ensure the success of collaborative procurement in Derbyshire / partner ICS’s that delivers efficiencies in our contracts, consumables, people, systems and processes collaboratively.  This is about building more out of the teams we have by using their expertise differently in a collaborative space, while recognising the need for local differences.  The post holder will also line manage the ICS central team in any Hub and Spoke type arrangement (along with any wider collaborative appointments in future) and will deputise for the Director of Commercial and Strategy (SRO) at National, Regional and ICS Meetings as required to build pace and presence.

Qualifications and Training

  • • Master’s Degree or similar- equivalent experience.
  • • CIP’s qualified or relevant equivalent experience (demonstrable).
  • • Experience at a corporate level of working with Boards /NED’s.
  • • Experience of successfully driving change and transformational programmes.
  • • Understanding of organisational cultural impacts on performance and productivity
  • • Provision of services in the healthcare industry in a managerial role, able to demonstrate a good understanding of operational delivery
  • • Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of a variety of NHS sectors
  • • Proof of successful strategy development and implementation
  • • Able to create/shape innovative strategic vision for the best possible long term benefit of the organisation and patients
