The post will be based in both Chesterfield and Buxton.

We offer opportunities to support the larger CAMHS team to consider the Systemic aspects of their work, by facilitating systemic consultations, clinical supervision and mentoring practice.

The postholder will have a Masters degree qualified in Family Therapy,  UKCP registered and be experienced in working with complex family dynamics & high levels of risk

Main duties of the job

You will be required to work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of evidenced based  Systemic Family Therapy to children & young people with a wide range of complex mental health difficulties.  You will work within a passionate, enthusiastic, compassionate team and will be expected to provide supervision and consultation to colleagues and take part in CPD and pathway development activities as necessary.

Working for our organisation

We believe in investing in our staff, and we hope to give you the opportunity to build on your existing skills, to be yourself, and to thrive in a forward-thinking and dynamic CAMHS Team.

It is an exciting time for our service as we grow and expand our offer.  We are lucky enough to have a number of CAMHS services based in the same building, and as a CAMHS Family Therapist, you will liaise closely with them all.

We pride ourselves on our multi-disciplinary approach, and you will become a key member of our specialist team. You will be working in a supportive and friendly environment with professionals from a variety of clinical backgrounds.  The service offers a wide range of structured interventions in addition to systemic family therapy, like CBT, DBT, and IPT.

There are opportunities for building up professional networks within the service. We value the diversity of our clinicians and the different skill sets that they bring with them. We offer flexible working  and have special leave and staff support policy in place.

The team operates out of bases in Chesterfield and Buxton and you may be required to travel between bases where necessary in order to provide a flexible service to young people and their families.
