Job overview

We are seeking a motivated and organised administrator to join our friendly and supportive medical staffing team.

You will play a key role in the delivery of medical staffing requirements, including onboarding for resident doctors, and recruitment to consultant and associated medical staff posts. 

Collaborating with internal departments and external partners, you will help enable compliance for safe staffing, and achievement of compliance for Code of Practice and Exception Reporting.

We welcome applicants who may not meet all the essential criteria. A development plan will support individuals in filling knowledge gaps.

 

Main duties of the job

·         Utilise the NHSE Trainee Information System (TIS) to validate allocation of Resident Doctors into Trust training placements.  

·         Maintain the Trust allocations spreadsheets and undertake review of            staffing baselines, liaising with the Divisions and advising on vacancies and back fill opportunities. 

·        Use expertise and knowledge to suggest solutions to workforce issues and advise managers on best practice. 

     Undertake recruitment and onboarding of medical and dental staff at all grades and ensure that timely pre-employment and right to work checks are undertaken in line with NHS employment check standards to the level required for all medical staff.     

         Support the Trust in discharging required procedures for Resident Doctor Exception Reporting.

Essential criteria
  • Education to A ‘level standard (or equivalent).
  • Recent relevant work-related experience within the NHS or other large organisation
  • Relevant experience in use of IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CoPilot
