Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Health care assistant to join our friendly nursing team in the Suite 1 / Urology Department on a permanent contract.

Main duties of the job
You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to put patients at ease. You should be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service, having the ability to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to improving standards of patient care.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.
Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 550 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 350,000 people.

Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria
- Education to GCSE standard or equivalent, to include Maths and English
- QCF level 2 Clinical Healthcare support or willing to work towards
Desirable criteria
- Health related training, first aid, moving and handling
- NVQ care qualification
Experience

- Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a Healthcare setting

- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Experience in surgical / urology Setting
