NHS Medical & Dental: Junior Clinical Fellow
Job overview
This role will enable a core/F3 equivalent level doctor to gain experience as part of our Paediatric team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
The post has been specifically designed for training level medics who would like to gain more specialty experience and consolidate their knowledge, skills and confidence prior to moving on to the next stage of their career.
You will mainly work in general paediatrics covering both inpatient care, acute admissions and outpatient clinics. In addition, the role involves covering our level 2 neonatal unit, postnatal ward, and neonatal deliveries.
The pattern of work is a full shift system which has 10 participants, and you will be supported by on site middle grade doctors, as well as having access to consultant support during evening, night and weekend shifts.
This is a fixed term post to provide rota cover for a Trainee vacancy within the department. Some aspects of the role can be bespoke to the individual needs of the post-holder and tailored to take into account previous relevant experience, or achievement of requirements for application to specialty training.
There will be the opportunity to participate in teaching, audit, guideline development and service improvement projects.
