We’re looking for an exceptional Physiotherapy First Contact Practitioner (FCP), and we want to hear from you.  We’re a successful Trust with a strong commitment to delivering the highest standards of clinical quality, patient care and staff experience.  The key to our success is simple:  our people.  Their experience, knowledge, passion and ideas are our greatest resource.  Your job will be to deliver the FCP role, working with our system partners to ensure our patients receive timely and expert musculoskeletal assessment and access appropriate pathway driven care.  With your clinical experience and expertise in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, together with your energy and commitment to our public service, you’ll be able to make a huge difference.  We’re looking for a highly skilled musculoskeletal physiotherapist, able to work with our system partners to delivery excellent FCP and musculoskeletal care.

Main duties of the job

As an FCP you will support the Head of Physiotherapy Service, Physiotherapy Professional & Service Development Leads (PSDL) and our system partners, to co-ordinate, develop and implement the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service.  Alongside other Senior Physiotherapists, you will work as part of our MSK Out-patient Physiotherapy and FCP Team and embody our proud to CARE values to contribute to a truly inclusive workplace.  At the heart of this role is providing specialised physiotherapy assessment and identifying appropriate treatment pathways for our patients, including working collaboratively with our system partners, developing and implementing the plans, procedures and governance to contribute to the system wide Musculoskeletal Service.  We’re not shy about celebrating our people at the Trust and taking them with us on our collaborative working journey.  So, we want you to lead in developing the FCP role at our Trust.  Here’s a message from Sharon Wood, one of our PSDL’s, who will be your line manager: “If your experience, expertise and motivation can help us work with our system partners to deliver the excellent MSK and FCP Physiotherapy services our patients deserve, come and join us, I’d love to welcome you on board.”

Working for our organisation

We provide a full range of district general services including urgent and emergency care, specialist children’s services, maternity and community midwifery.  We also offer primary care through three GP practices with eight surgeries between them.  Our vision is exceptional care provided by exceptional people.  Our mission is to bring our people, communities and partners together- providing patient care we can all be proud of.  Your energy and leadership will be critical to our success.

We are firmly rooted in the founding principles of the NHS, and we have built on this by “Leading the Chesterfield Way”, and with our Proud to CARE values.  This means leading with care, openness, integrity and embedding an inclusive culture. We know that people have a life and responsibilities outside of work and we offer flexibility and a whole raft of support to care for your physical and mental wellbeing.  This role is hugely important to us and we look forward to hearing from you.
