Job overview
The Tissue Viability Service has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurses with a keen interest in all aspects of tissue viability to become part of our friendly team.
We are looking for highly motivated proactive nurses with good communication skills.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Senior Tissue Viability Team; helping us to provide a consistently excellent service. The role is varied and requires the ability to multi task. You will be able to organise your own workload to meet the demands of a reactive and busy environment. Experience as a Tissue Viability link nurse is desirable however training will be provided with the successful applicant required to undertake a period of e-learning activities.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will
• Implement specific Tissue Viability care plans for patients with complex altered skin integrity issues and provide ongoing monitoring of care to ensure optimal care and treatment. A period of training will be required before the post holder can independently complete initial assessments
• Support the Tissue Viability service to action improvement plans and monitor quality care programmes
• Share ideas with the Tissue Viability team to improve services and suggest areas for innovation
• Participate in the investigation of incidents/complaints as required.
• Support the promotion of wound care formulary adherence
• Participate in education and training in all aspects of Tissue Viability

- Early involvement of a specialist multidisciplinary team enhances individualised care and improves the patient experience and outcome.
- All patients referred will be reviewed by a member of the Tissue Viability Service within 2 working days of accepting the referral
