Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Acute Care Therapy Team (ACTT). The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of predominantly elderly and frail patients across various clinical settings including the Emergency Department and assessment areas.

You will be supported by working closely with a team of qualified Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy colleagues along with support staff. The team have enhanced skills, and you will receive training to achieve dual therapy competencies.
Main duties of the job
The team are committed to delivering high standards of care across the acute care pathway.
We are seeking applicants with knowledge and experience of current developments and drivers within the wider healthcare setting, around frailty, admissions avoidance and emergency care.
The Trust is committed to supporting and developing staff through appraisals and the supervision process. Senior staff have individual supervision and peer support as well as access to training.
Hours will be worked to support 7-day service delivery between the hours of 08:00 – 20:00, including weekends and bank holidays; therefore, flexibility around working patterns will be required. Flexible full and part time hours will be considered.

Experience
Essential criteria
- The ability to assess, formulate and evaluate treatments and discharge procedures.
- The understanding of complex discharge issues and the needs of carers.
- Teaching/supervising/development other staff/students.
- Clinical knowledge within the Acute Care/Facility/medical therapy specialism.
- Evidence of MDT working.
Desirable criteria
- Experience across a broad range of Physiotherapy practice.
- Experience of working within admissions avoidance speciality/emergency care.
- Participation in service development, research and audit.
Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Degree level Qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Relevant post-graduate training.
- HCPC registered.
- Evidence of recent/ongoing relevant CPD.
Desirable criteria
- Clinical Educator accreditation.
