Our Temporary Staffing Team support the joint venture People Services function for Derbyshire Community Health Service and Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust.
You will be able to choose to be based at either Kingsway Hospital, Derby or Walton Hospital, Chesterfield, but will be predominantly working from home you will be required to travel to other bases for meetings as required.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for positive, pro-active and professional administrator to join our team. If you have excellent interpersonal skills, are a good communicator, and have a strong desire to provide outstanding support to our clinical teams, this role could be perfect for you.
You will work together with different people across both Trusts, building relationships at all levels, in order to understand their temporary staffing needs and requirements and how we can support them in delivering safe, effective patient care.
You will use a number of computerised systems (such as the NHS system Electronic Staff Record and the suite of RL Datix (Allocate rostering packages) to manage and monitor staffing, actively adjusting your workload as needed, Frequent reprioritisation of workload will be required to adjust to competing changes in demand.
You will deliver excellent customer service to colleagues across our services, ensuring that all email and telephone enquiries, comments, and suggestions are handled appropriately and promptly through a very busy service.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.

Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or relevant experience
- Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Skills and Experience
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and experience of Temporary Staffing environment and recruitment practices
- Able to organise and prioritise own workload and set deadlines and able to use own initiative
Desirable criteria
- Experience using ESR, Health Roster and Bank Staff
- Previous experience of using data from a HR/Payroll system to produce detailed reports.
Communication
Essential criteria
- Clear communicator with accurate data entry and telephone skills.
