Buying Support Officer

Contributes to the delivery of outstanding patient care: 
The main purpose of the post is to provide procurement support across the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and any other stakeholder organisations. 
This role will be to assist the Procurement Team in the day to day effective operation of the service. Tasks include updating and maintaining procurement systems including the Procurement Catalogues, Unit 4 (Agresso) integration, Contracts Database and Stock Management systems. 
Liaising with the Procurement Team, Customers and Suppliers around issues and queries to ensure an effective and cost efficient service is delivered, ensuring a first class customer service is maintained at all times. 
This is a demanding role within Procurement which requires accuracy, working to tight deadlines and compliance to policies and procedures to ensure that Key Performance metrics and targets are met at all times.
Promote the role and raise awareness of the department, offering advice and guidance to departments in subject areas relevant to this post.

Ensure commitment towards quality standards and improving the department’s key performance metrics including Model Hospital and Lord Carter metrics.

 Maintain awareness of the relevance of good governance or similar control standards
