Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the DCHS Hotel Services/IFM Team in the role of IFM Supervisor.
You will be based at Whitworth Hospital, Matlock, and may be required to work across other areas/sites to ensure continuity of service.
As the IFM Supervisor, you will become an active member of our team working closely with other disciplines and manage domestic cleaning staff.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member, who is keen to learn and to develop themselves. Previous experience and knowledge of working within a domestic environment is desirable.

Main duties of the job
*Day to day supervision of staff
*Dealing with ‘on the spot’ queries – 1st point of contact.
*Completion of rotas, allocation for staff absences and salary returns.
*Organisation of furniture moves/ad hoc requests and completion of risk assessments.
*Ensuring removal and disposal of all categories of waste and linen in line with current legislation
*Providing cover for other IFM supervisors and Driving within the locality and wider DCHS area.
*Arranging maintenance and servicing of lease vehicles/electric tugs and completion of maintenance requests and monitoring progress of works
*Ensuring the timely transportation and delivery of goods, supplies, and medical records.
*Monitoring of stocks, ordering of supplies of medical gases.
*Assist the IFM Operational Coordinator with staff appraisals, induction and training.
*Participating in staff interview panels.
*Ensuring information is communicated in a timely and robust manner to staff.
Managing/updating records including in-house computerised systems and local management information systems for staff and service information.
Undertaking in-house audit systems and ensuring any shortfalls are addressed/documented.
Monitoring contracts eg window cleaning, pest control.
Co-coordinating and assisting in floor maintenance and curtain changing duties.
Ability to work times/shifts within department to maintain service across domestic and porter role.

- CIEH Level 2 in Health & safety (formerly Basic Health & Safety)

- NVQ in related subject- cleaning support services, portering

- Experience of using Microsoft Office programme including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience of working within a similar environment Supervisory experience

- Good organisational Skills
- Ability to travel between sites on a frequent and varied basis.
