Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to lead a dedicated team within our pathway model.
This is a full-time post but we would consider flexible working. Our CAMHS was recently rated “outstanding” in the CQC’s 2016 quality inspection (published in September 2016). We are proud that our service is an established part of the National Children and Young People’s improving access to Psychological therapies (IAPT) Project. The Transformation has involved developing the workforce through training in evidence-based practice and providing evidence-based pathways supported by outcome monitoring across CAMHS and Children and Young People Services. The service moved to a pathway model that enables children and young people to receive the right service, at the right time and place, in line with evidence-based practice. Our service places high importance on providing high quality care and values clinical engagement in service development. We are able to offer you excellent training and career progression opportunities and are keen to support the development of special interests, including study leave support of £1,000 per annum towards your continuing professional development.

Our service particularly prides itself in providing excellent Consultant peer support, hence our long-standing record of retention of our CAMHS Consultant team. The role will be based at Temple House with occasional clinics in another locality in South Derbyshire. The post involves working closely within a multi-disciplinary team. We are offering a relocation package of up to £8,000 available to eligible candidates.
