Job overview
Are you an experienced administrator who would like to progress your career in a fast paced and genuinely supportive team?
Would you like to work for a team where flexible working (including the opportunity to work from home) is encouraged and your wellbeing and personal development are prioritised?
If you have a can-do attitude, are passionate about providing excellent customer service experience to our current and future colleagues and are keen to progress a career in HR, we would love to hear from you.
Our Temporary Staffing Team support the joint venture People Services function for Derbyshire Community Health Service and Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust.
You will be able to choose to be based at either Kingsway Hospital, Derby or Walton Hospital, Chesterfield, and will also have the ability to work from home to help support your work / life and wellbeing balance.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for positive, pro-active and professional administrator to join our team. If you have excellent interpersonal skills, are a good communicator, and have a strong desire to provide outstanding support to our clinical teams, this role could be perfect for you.
You will work together with different people across both Trusts, building relationships at all levels, in order to understand their temporary staffing needs and requirements and how we can support them in delivering safe, effective patient care.
You will use a number of computerised systems (such as the NHS system Electronic Staff Record and the suite of Allocate packages) to manage and monitor staffing, actively adjusting your workload as needed.
You will deliver excellent customer service to colleagues across our services, ensuring that all email and telephone enquiries, comments, and suggestions are handled appropriately and promptly.
Working for our organisation
Working for your organisation
Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.
As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement whether that’s job share, part time or another flexible pattern.
We also wish to support colleagues to work in a hybrid way where possible (a form of flexible working where colleagues spend some of their working hours or days at a health and social care site and some of their time remotely, usually at their home - IT equipment to allow for this will be provided to you), provided this does not have a detrimental impact on operational requirements. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
