Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join the UHDB trust?

We are looking for someone to join our Endoscopy  admin team for 22.5hrs per week.

You should be educated to a good standard of English to GCSE or equivalent and have an advanced level of IT literacy with experience of using a range of IT applications.

To provide an efficient  Endoscopy unit  waiting list service to the consultants and their teams working flexibly with or alongside waiting list staff, consultants and other teams as required. Covering the reception area will also be part of this role.

You must have read the contents of the Job Description and feel confident that you are able to fulfil the requirements.

The hours of work will be 22.5 hours per week, to be worked Monday - Wednesday between 9.15 and 17.15 with one Saturday a month 7.30-15.30

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • To act as the point of contact for patients and medical staff on behalf of the consultant and his/her team ensuring that all queries are resolved with skill, sensitivity and in a courteous and 
    professional manner.
  • Responsible for the monitoring / selection of future waiting list patients.
  •  An understanding of the 18-week RTT process and a knowledge of the Trust Patient Access  Policy and an agreement to adhered to these policies according to National Trust Guidelines. 
  •  Input patient information onto the various IT systems.
  •  Prepare and print daily waiting lists as appropriate.
  •  Contact patients to arrange appointment dates in accordance with the Trust’s Booking Policy.
  •  Ensure that waiting lists are compiled with the appropriate case mix following the booking rules
  •  Prepare and send out (with minimum delay) notification letters to those patients selected for inpatient or outpatient appointment, notifying patients by telephone when necessary.
  •  Ensure that notes and results are prepared and available prior to the patient episode or admission.
  •  Responsible for the regular case note maintenance and accurate filing.
  • Liaise effectively with wards and departments within the hospital.
  • To escalate any urgent problems to a senior manager.
  •  Undertake necessary training as and when required by the Trust.
