Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Domestic Cleaning Assistant to work at Ilkeston Community Hospital.  This is a fantastic opportunity for you to become part of our DCHS Domestic Team.

The position available is 20 hours a week, working a rolling rota Monday to Sunday.

Although experience is desirable, this is not essential as full training will be given.

What really matters to us is providing every one of our patients with an excellent experience, a service that really cares and one that delivers the right outcome, and that we achieve this every day and make a difference to our patients’ experience and demonstrate values and personal qualities that support the DCHS way of working.

If you are an enthusiastic team member who is eager to learn and to develop then we would like to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

You will provide a high-quality domestic service.

Working either individually or as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained for patients, staff and visitors following agreed work schedules, methods and procedures in accordance with the National Standards of Cleanliness.

You will be required to have a flexible approach and be prepared to work on other sites should service demands dictate.

You will be an integral part in delivering outstanding patient care at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS).

Working for our organisation

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.
