Medical Transport Services Post Room Assistant

Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated individual to be part of our dynamic medical services postal team. We have a proven NHS background and are committed to providing excellent service to our customers for over 30 years.
The job entails sorting post received from the GPs and Hospitals and sorting it into pigeonholes, and then bagging this up for the surgeries in the morning. The bags are then delivered by MTS during the day.
The afternoon is taken up with franking post from DHC sites to be collected by the MTS driving team.
Main duties of the job
To maintain, sort and collate post.
To operate the franking machine to a high standard without supervision.
To report for duty to commence duties as detailed.
Escalating any problems to the Head of Dorset Post.
To complete daily checks on the post room vehicle and to make sure any defects are recorded reported.
To drive the post room vehicle when required by the Head of Dorset Post within the Dorset Health Care area.
To ensure the office is kept clean and tidy on a daily basis
To ensure journey records are maintained correctly and handed in as required.
To undertake any other work as directed by the Head of Dorset Post as required.
Maintain driving compliance with the Road Traffic regulations.
