Job overview

Are you looking for a new challenge, working as part of a team that deliver a safe environment for all patients attending theatres?

The majority of the surgery performed at Torbay and South Devon is day case surgery, which is when people come to hospital, have their surgery and return home on the same day.

Our Day Surgery Unit treats over 9,000 people a year, and has been open since 1995. It is a really welcoming and warm environment, and we see both adults and children.

Joining our team, you would be expected to be an advocate for the Trust who put patient care as a priority and high quality patient focused care at the fore front of all we do. You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality care for patients in the perioperative stage of their care.

We are looking for staff with experience in scrub and anaesthetics   #Caretojoinus.

We get regular positive feedback from patients who comment on the friendly atmosphere  which we try to promote for our patients and our staff.

The variety of care in day surgery means there are learning opportunities and further training.

Many staff work in more than one area of the unit and enjoy the challenge.
