Job overview

Are you looking for a role that makes a difference? We are now recruiting reliable and motivated Domestic Assistants to join our Facilities Team in our brand-new purpose built 8 bed inpatient CAMHS High Intensity Environment/ PICU unit at Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth.

Cleaning duties include dusting, cleaning of lavatories and basins, kitchen, vacuuming carpeted floors/mopping of clinical floors, cleaning of clinical areas, internal windows/glass panels, replenishing product dispensers, wiping of window blinds and ensuring the National Cleaning Standards are constantly maintained.

Join our friendly Facilities Team at Alumhurst Road, the following roles are available:

1 x 15 hours per week Saturday and Sunday 10.30am -6.30pm

There may be a need to change this pattern to work flexibly within the team to cover the needs of the service. Additional hours are usually available to cover annual leave and sickness absence.

Any additional hours where they are worked at weekend attract additional enhanced levels of pay!  Generous annual leave allowance included.

Main duties of the job

Cleaning – duties across the site, working to NHS cleaning standards, as the cleaning rota requires. – weekly duties supporting the delivery of items throughout the site

For all duties, full training, support and uniform will be provided, shadowing current experienced staff to enable the successful candidate to become confident in their role.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.  Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

You will be required to undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course and it is a condition of your employment that you successfully complete all aspects of this course; if this is not achieved you will not be able to commence working in the post.
