Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) to join the team on Ilchester.
Ilchester has a friendly and welcoming team atmosphere. The 33 bedded medical ward cares for patients requiring close monitoring and observation following a medical admission, encompassing acute care skills, as well as patients requiring rehabilitation needs.

Please be aware that this role is not currently eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants should be aware of the requirement to independently obtain ongoing right to work in the UK beyond the expiry of any temporary or time-limited permissions. Evidence of this will need to be shared with the HR Team to ensure our records remain up to date.

The successful applicant will be joining a positive, friendly and supportive team focused on goals driven by patient experience and evidence based best practice.

Essential criteria
- Evidence of good communication skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality
- Evidence of ability to maintain accurate and legible documentation
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to work independently following verbal or written instructions
Desirable criteria
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Evidence of ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, patients and visitors

Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (to understand and be understood)

Education, Qualifications & Training
