Dorset is entering the first year of an ambitious two-year programme to create the catalyst for left-shift change and build the foundations for Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs)
The development of Integrated Neighbourhood Teams is a complex and emergent, outcome-based transformation programme. This means that while there is clarity as to ‘what’ needs to be achieved in terms of impact, much of the ‘how’ will continue to emerge as we work through the programme.
This is an internal opportunity open to colleagues employed by – Dorset HealthCare, Dorset County Hospital, University Hospitals Dorset, Dorset Primary Care, Dorset County Council, Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole County Council and the Dorset ICB. Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced transformational change leader able to embrace a dynamic and flexible approach to implementation, while maintaining a clear focus on the intended benefits and ensuring programme delivery is aligned to the realisation of the intended impact.
The successful candidate with need to adopt a complexity aware approach, capturing learning and using information and insight to inform course correction decisions and ensure delivery of the required programme outcomes and impact.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the ability to blend transformational change skills and expertise with fresh ideas, think critically, and explore innovative ways to deliver the expected benefits of INTs across Dorset.
This post is a member of the INT Programme Senior Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing successful delivery of the benefits set out in the INT business case.
The primary purpose of this role is to bring focus and structure to the development of INTs across Dorset.
Bringing outcome-based transformation change expertise and experience of leading complex and emerging programmes, working agilely to ensure realisation the development of INTs across Dorset delivers the expected benefits, to time, within budget and in line with the guiding programme principles.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience of working at a senior level in specialist area
- Prince 2 or equivalent programme and project management qualifications
Desirable criteria
- Additional management or specialist qualifications at post graduate level or equivalent experience
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience of leading major change programmes across organisations
- Extensive experience of managing highly complex programmes, monitoring and evaluating outcomes, deliverables and expected impact
- Highly specialised knowledge and understanding of programme performance management and prioritisation, with the ability to alter plans to fit with a rapidly changing environment
- Experience of identifying and interpreting national policy
Desirable criteria
- Good understanding of the background to and aims of the Dorset Integrated Neighbourhood Team Programme and able to demonstrate an understanding of the implications of this approach
- Significant experience engaging service users, communities and partners in the co-design and co-production of care and support models

- Able to draw highly complex qualitative and quantitative information from a range of sources and present it concisely
- Ability to effectively plan and think strategically, analyse and resolve problems in a multi-disciplinary environment
