Job overview

An opportunity has arisen at Weymouth Hospital to join the  friendly, hardworking Facilities Team, with the main emphasis on Cleaning duties.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated flexible and able to work as part of a Team but also on their own.

We have a part-time position of 20 hours, per week, working either 0600-1000 or 1600-2000, Monday-Friday, with an opportunity to work additional hours to cover sickness and annual leave.

Full training, Induction and uniform will be provided and we also offer generous annual leave entitlements as well as a pension scheme.

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Main duties of the job

This is a multi-tasking role, focussing on cleaning duties, on the whole. whilst supporting ad-hoc Portering and catering duties. Our Facilities team members perform a vital part of our hard-working team and without them the Hospital would not be able to operate.

Cleaning-Provide an effective cleaning service, to meet NHS cleanliness standards as a minimum. Working across the main Hospital, emptying bins, cleaning toilets, clinic spaces, corridors offices and stairwells.

Portering-Provision of appropriate Portering services which will include the safe moving and storing of deliveries and equipment, performing routine health & safety tasks and supporting the general team in their activities.

Catering-To contribute to the delivery of Catering Services in the Hospital. Ad-Hoc support to assist in the production of sandwiches/salads, stocking the vending machine, stocking and cleaning of the coffee machine and kitchen cleaning.
