Job overview

We are hoping to recruit 2 members of staff to join our Facilities Team at Westhaven Hospital, working at one of our local Medical Centres - The Bridges.

Each role is 15 hours per week working 5pm - 8pm each weekday.

This multiskilled role is working in a friendly  environment, mainly covering cleaning duties in the Medical Centre, but on occasion working at Westhaven Hospital to support in the hospital to cover catering (serving food and making drinks for our patients), cleaning and porter duties - all training is provided.

Shift times for each vacancy are 5pm-8pm -  there  may be a need to work flexibly within the team to cover the needs of the service and this will be discussed if needed.

Additional hours are usually available to cover annual leave and sickness absence and you will receive a generous annual leave allowance

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.  Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Main duties of the job

Cleaning – duties across the site, working to NHS cleaning standards, as the cleaning rota requires. – weekly duties supporting the delivery of items throughout the site, working in clinical areas, such as the inpatient ward and outpatient areas. 

Catering – all onsite training will be provided, experience preferred but not essential. Supporting our patients by serving meals, making hot drinks.

Porter duties, collecting samples, receiving deliveries and supporting in unloading deliveries such as stores and catering deliveries.

For all duties, full training, support and uniform will be provided, shadowing current experienced staff to enable the successful candidate to become confident in their role
