Main duties of the job
You'll work within a supportive, forward thinking team, leading and coordinating the service to school age children & young people with neurodevelopmental needs and associated communication difficulties. You will work in a range of settings including:
Schools and nurseries
Hospitals and community clinics
Homes and virtual platforms
Working for our organisation

Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Knowledge & understanding of a wide range of procedures and practices related to the identification, definition, diagnosis & remediation of disorders of human communication
- Knowledge, skills & understanding of children & young people in the specialist area.
- Evidence of leadership skills including: personal time management & organisation; successful & effective caseload management; successful & effective supervision/leading other clinical staff
Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Degree/diploma and licence to practise as a speech & language therapist as approved by the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists
- Masters degree or equivalent postgraduate knowledge
Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant and considerable post-preceptorship experience working with a range of children and young people in the specialist area
- Substantial post-graduate experience across a broad range of children & young people’s speech & language therapy
- Considerable experience of caseload management & monitoring with experience of delegation of tasks to other team members
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
