Trosolwg o'r swydd

The post holder will be employed to undertake all the appropriate duties specified in the job description across a variety of Trust owned properties.  The post holder will be expected to carry out extensive periods of working alone and there is an expectation to work at heights.  The post holder will be competent and  have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of decoration to enable them to achieve and apply the skills where required.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The post holder will be required to redecorate, externally and internally, as instructed, properties within the Trust.

The post holder will have a detailed knowledge of all painting products, their suitability, preparation procedure and correct method of application on a variety of surfaces in accordance with Health and Safety procedures.

The post holder will have the ability to hang all types of wall coverings, matching patterns as appropriate, to produce a high standard of internal decoration.

The post holder will have a good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH Regulations and adopt good safe working practices at all times to ensure safety of themselves, other Estates staff and contractors, Trust employees, patients and the general public.

The post holder will have an obligation to undertake training where necessary to learn new techniques relating to building refurbishment and decoration.

The post holder will Instruct and evaluate other craft staff and maintenance assistants on the above features as required and other aspects of decoration.

The post holder will liaise with contractors working on sites and provide knowledge of decoration and building refurbishments.

The post holder will understand fully the inter-relationship between the various maintenance crafts to allow timely decoration programming.

  • City & Guilds Certificate/NVQ level 3

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role and a proven track record of all aspect of painting and decorating.
