Job overview

A challenging and exciting opportunity has arisen, for someone looking to develop and utilise their informatics skills within a busy Pharmacy department.

We are looking to appoint a Senior ATO - Informatics, who will join the dedicated pharmacy informatics team based at University Hospital of North Tees and University Hospital of Hartlepool. This post will be key in supporting the implementation and maintenance of pharmacy informatics systems including Omnicells. 

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an individual with a sound knowledge and understanding of hospital pharmacy, as well as knowledge & experience of Pharmacy IT systems. 

The position requires excellent communication and organisational skills, who can effectively manage their own time and workload, and are confident in providing education and training

Applicants must hold an NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or equivalent General Pharmaceutical Council recognised dispensing qualification and be a competent dispenser  or technician with hospital pharmacy experience.

The busy pharmacy department has a large team of staff including clinical pharmacists, technicians and support staff providing aseptic, medicines management, dispensing, and logistic services to the general and specialist areas of the University Hospitals of Tees. The pharmacy department provides a stimulating, friendly and professionally rewarding environment for staff to develop their career.
