Job overview

A registered  nurse manager specialising in dermatology who will assist the lead nurse in providing leadership and clinical expertise within the dermatology unit. They are responsible for the overall management of the nursing team and delivery of safe patient care, ensuring it aligns with the trust policies and practices. 

Main duties of the job

Leads and articulates clear standards of care for clinical areas.

Leads by example in the clinical setting maintaining professional behaviour and communications at all times and is a good role model.

Creates a nursing workforce within the unit to meet the needs of the service and which strives to provide excellent patient care.

Ensures their visibility in the clinical area, working with their teams supervising and supporting nursing, modelling the values and behaviours of the trust.

Demonstrates clinical competence in running the speciality area and day case unit safely.

Attends regular Outpatient forums sharing and developing good practice,

Dermatology experience

  • Experience of working within a dermatology unit
