Job overview
The role is responsible for a range of professional leadership duties including the operational management of the waiting lists and clinic/theatre capacity within their designated area of responsibility as well as ensuring that administrative processes are co-ordinated and managed to deliver both governance and performance functions.
Main duties of the job
Lead effective communication across the service area, engaging individuals and teams to deliver against targets. Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the Trust and wider system to ensure integrated services and identify opportunities for improvement.
Use motivational and negotiating skills to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement in a demanding operational environment. Exercise political awareness and sound judgement in navigating policy developments and diverse stakeholders, escalating appropriately.
Analyse and communicate complex information to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring performance data is understood and managed confidentially where required.
Ensure directorate plans, systems and processes for clinical quality, risk, controls assurance and patient involvement are in place and operating effectively. Coordinate business support functions across the area of responsibility.

- Demonstrable previous success in leading and delivering service change and performance initiatives.
- Evidence of the ability to source, interpret and report on highly complex data
