Job overview
The Joint Community Rehabilitation (JCR) Team have an exciting opportunity for a motivated clerical administration assistant to join our busy team based in Eastbourne. The successful applicant will have previous admin and clerical experience in a busy office environment; be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills; be well organised, enthusiastic and motivated.
The successful applicant should be able to actively contribute to our busy team as well as being able to work autonomously in order to provide high quality and accurate administrative support.
The JCR Team is an integrated community service working jointly with Adult Social Care and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The team provides a rehabilitation and reablement service to adults 18 years or over living in the Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford areas.
Main duties of the job
The post holder’s foremost responsibilities will be the daily operation of our SystmOne information, uploading referrals and inputting a variety of patient information accurately.
The post holder will support with the management of the teams inboxes and will cover the phone lines, and will be expected to deal with sensitive information and be able to empathise with patients, colleagues and others.
The post will be Eastbourne based but flexibility to support our other sites at Lewes and Bexhill, to cover annual leave/sickness, would also be necessary. There will also be a requirement for weekend working (Saturdays).

Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience of dealing with the general public
- Experience of administration in a busy office environment
- Awareness of confidentiality issues
- Computer skills with experience using Microsoft office – word, excel
- Evidence of Data Entry
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of communicating with professionals and members of the public on the telephone
- Previous NHS administration experience
- Familiar with Trust Systems
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE's or equivalent in Maths and English
