Interface Services Administrator Virtual Wards/UCR

Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join a developing service Virtual Ward, working closely with the Urgent Community Response service  within the Community Health and Integrated Care Division at EDGH on a 7 day services, covering weekdays and weekends

The post holder will provide support across the Interface Services. The Interface Services include several teams comprising of Therapists, Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Integrated Support Workers.  Together the Interface Services provide urgent and timely support to patients in their own homes in order to prevent unnecessary hospital admission, or alternatively provide additional assessment and support to facilitate a timely hospital discharge for patients in hospital.

 

To help support service cover from 8am to 10pm Monday to Sundays.  hours to be agreed on succession of interview

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide valuable administrative support to these teams, with responsibility for a range of tasks including; answering phones, managing the ordering of uniform, clinical stock, PPE and office supplies, managing staff personnel files, supporting with data extraction and contributing to daily reports, as well as providing ad hoc administrative support to staff as required. The post holder will work closely with administrative colleagues as well as Team Leads and Service Managers in order to contribute to efficient and effective processes across the services.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including A*-C Maths and English
Desirable criteria
  • Recognised IT and/ or typing qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous administrative experience in a busy office environment
  • Record keeping and filing systems
  • Experience extracting & manipulating data to produce reports
Desirable criteria
  • Prioritisation of workload
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Previous NHS or Adult Social Care administration experience

Knowledge/Skills

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality
  • Good organisational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Outlook, Word and Excel)
