Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a secondment/fixed term contract working with the Vascular Service.  

The role will encompass full administrative duties, tracking patients through their pathway and supporting in the efficient and smooth running of the service.

Main duties of the job

To co-ordinate Vascular patient pathways, ensuring that all Vascular patients referred via the NAASP route are treated within national waiting time targets.

To manage the process of diagnosis and treatment whilst ensuring the collection, verification and input of complete and accurate data for the Vascular patient pathways, through from referral to treatment and follow up for the purpose of meeting national Vascular requirements.

To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the department, process clinical correspondence and communicate with patient and others to maintain safe patient pathways. 

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team with other secretaries and provide cross cover during periods of staff absence.
