This post is a KSS deanery gap backfill from 1st April 2026 - 4 August 2026 only (this contract will not be extended)

 This is a post for a LED FY2 based in the Department of Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT).

The appointee will be based at Eastbourne District General Hospital with some travel to Conquest Hospital, Hastings but this may change depending on service need.

 

 

Main duties of the job

The Trust doctor will take part in the Hospital at Night rota as part of the multi disciplinary team.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This posts forms part of the 1:13 Hospital at Night shift rota. The 13 doctors making up the Hospital at Night Rota are comprised of doctors from Urology & ENT, you will be expected to work together out of hours to provide emergency care to both specialty patients. In addition, you will be the first contact for any post operative emergencies for admitted patients under General Surgery, Breast and Gynaecology

  • Full registration with the GMC at time of application
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

Clinical Experience

  • Minimum 2 years full time (or equivalent) post graduate training (eg successful completion of foundation

  • Experience in managing ENT patients at FY2 grade
