This is an exciting opportunity to join our Coronary Care Unit and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory team as Matron Administrative Assistant assisting our Matron on CCU which is a busy 11 bedded high dependency unit nursing elective and emergency cardiology admissions. You will also support the Matron on Berwick Ward which is a busy, acute 28 bedded Ward that specialises in Cardiology with Elective and Emergency admissions, along with another Administrative Assistant also working 18.75 hours per week. Berwick Ward also has Endocrinology, Diabetes and Step-down from Stroke patients.
This Administration role also provides apprenticeship opportunities with development. For all applicants (working 18 hours per week or more) we can offer an apprenticeship programme to support them to undertake an NVQ in business Administration at NVQ Level 2 or Level 3. This programme will take 13 months to complete and must be commenced within 3 months of the start date for the post.
The successful applicant will be responsible for arranging meetings, taking notes, support in the use of Health-roster and the recruitment electronic system, in addition to booking mandatory training and providing full administrative service to the Matron.
We are looking for a well organised and motivated person, with a can do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills, to provide high quality administrative support.
