Join Our Team: Band 6 Physiotherapist – Rehabilitation Ward

Are you passionate about patient care and making a real difference in rehabilitation? We are looking for a dedicated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team on a busy Rehabilitation Ward!

About the Role:

As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will be a key player in delivering high-quality rehabilitation to patients recovering from a range of conditions, including post-surgical recovery, acute frailty, and long term conditions.  Your clinical expertise and compassionate care will help patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver physiotherapy interventions for a varied caseload.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic care to patients.
  • Provide education and advice to patients and their families about rehabilitation goals and techniques.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and physiotherapy students.
  • Take a lead in managing rehabilitation programs and discharge planning.

About You:

  • A qualified Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.
  • Experience in a rehabilitation setting or similar clinical environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Motivated, compassionate, and ready to support patients through their recovery journey.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with HCPC
  • Post-graduate qualification or proven equivalent experience / training in a relevant field
Desirable criteria
  • Membership of specialist interest groups such as ACPRC, ICS, ACPIN
  • Practice Placement Education Certificate

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Minimum 2 years B6 rotational experience.
  • Experience of training/supervision.
  • Experience of multi-professional working.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience within rehabilitation settings

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of ongoing and current CPD
  • Awareness of clinical governance and understanding of the NHS and challenges facing service delivery.
  • Effectively communicate the clinical reasoning supporting treatment and management of acutely ill patients and patients with respiratory and/or neurological conditions
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of client centred practice.
  • Specialist intermediate care and community rehabilitation knowledge and Interest.
