Job overview

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Facilities team as a Facilities Assistant. In this role, support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, and visitors. With a flexible approach, you’ll be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks.

    • A positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards.
    • Flexibility and a willingness to take on varied tasks within a healthcare setting.
    • Good communication skills to work effectively with supervisors, team leaders, and clinical/non-clinical staff.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a facilities, cleaning role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

Cleaning Duties:

  • Clean and sanitise surfaces, floors, glass, ledges, and all sanitary areas to NHS standards.
  • Empty, clean, and replenish waste bins; follow appropriate waste disposal procedures.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, ensuring it is in safe and serviceable condition.
  • Replace  consumables (paper towels, soap, toilet rolls) as needed to keep  areas well-stocked.
