Job overview

We are looking for bubbly & enthusiastic team player to join our friendly and busy Ophthalmology department.

 

You will be the first point of contact for our patients on the reception desk and will provide a crucial role in providing excellent customer care service.

 

You will also support our Injection service, by booking appointments, answering the telephone, and completing specific admin tasks

 

The ideal candidate will be organised, efficient and have excellent and strong communication skills and will be able to work well within a team.

Main duties of the job

To be the first point of contact for our patients arriving for appointments or for surgery.

Booking emergency appointments

Booking Injection appointments

Processing emergency referrals

Scanning documents

Processing emails

Answering the telephone

Caching up clinics daily

Completing admin tasks

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Reception Experience
  • GCSE or equivalent in English & Maths
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to prioritise own workload and to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy clinic reception environment.
Desirable criteria
  • NHS administration experience
