You will also support other teams including the caseloading teams Ivy (homebirths/safeguarding/PNMH) and Lighthouse (young people) with visits and covering clinics. Hastings is on the South East Coast of England with its beautiful seaside towns and villages including Rye and Battle, a stones through away from the beautiful countryside of the South Downs and a short train ride to the lively Brighton. A perfect place to work!
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work confidently and autonomously within the team is essential, you will gain experience in all aspects of midwifery care. There is an on call provision so flexibility is essential and being able to drive between visits and clinic is essential.

You will arrange your bookings around other work, having some flexibility to suit the family. You will work in collaboration with the Obstetric team and our specialist teams such as safeguarding, screening and PNMH. The community team is based out of a local family hub but you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings. As a community team we provide on calls to cover homebirths throughout East Sussex, the standalone midwifery unit in Eastbourne and our consultant led unit in Hastings.
