Job overview

Full-time Band 5 Theatre Practitioner required to undertake scrub and or recovery and anaesthetic duties.

Main duties of the job

To act as a Theatre Practitioner in scrub, anaesthetic and recovery roles.  To work as part of the theatre team based at Sussex Premier Health in Hastings. You will be required to provide exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre.

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse or Registered Operating Department Practitioner
  • Evidence of relevant continued professional development / training to degree level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience / Revalidation documents
Desirable criteria
  • Working towards Mentorship and CPD at degree level

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting
  • Previous experience of working in teams and with minimum supervision
  • Previous experience in a caring role
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
