Job overview

Immunisation Programme  Office Administrator (Uckfield) -  Full time (condensed to  9 working days out of 10 considered) temporary contract for 4 months, September to December 2025.

An opportunity has arisen for a temporary  Band 3 Immunisation Office Administrator to join the SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service.

The role requires office working core hours of 8am-4pm,  with flexibility to work later to offer administrative support and reception duties for clinics. You may also be asked to come in early on occasion to assist with packing of vaccines.

The SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service vaccinates children aged 0-19 years in schools and clinics across East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.

This post will be based at Uckfield Library, but you may be required to travel to provide support in offices, clinics and occasionally schools within the whole SCFT area.

Please note: Due to recent changes in UK immigration and visa rules, this role is unlikely to be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants who do not currently have the right to work in the UK may not be considered. Candidates requiring sponsorship should review the eligibility criteria on the gov.uk website before applying to assess their eligibility for a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will provide administrative and secretarial support to this innovative and dynamic immunisation team; dedicated to improving immunisation uptake and delivering the national evidence-based schools’ immunisation programmes. They may also act as a first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, directing them to the appropriate recipient and accurately recording information and messages.

We welcome applicants who can demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly and co-operatively with colleagues both within their own team and the wider multidisciplinary teams across the whole SCFT area. You will need to be motivated, conscientious and committed to supporting us to maintain high vaccination coverage across Sussex.

All team members support the whole of the SCFT Immunisation Service, therefore you must be willing to travel to other offices and clinic venues and occasionally to schools within Sussex.
