Job overview
The Finance Apprentice will support the finance team in providing a reliable and effective financial support service to Sussex University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Ensure that financial information is processed accurately and in time with financial timescales and legal requirements, interpreting these where necessary.
Investigate enquiries and queries from suppliers/ staff and customers and provide advice and assistance as required.
This is an apprenticeship role. please do not apply if you already hold a finance qualification Level 3 or above.
Main duties of the job
The apprentice will be working towards:
· Responding to routine staff, customer and other queries, some of which may be sensitive or contentious, either verbally or in writing (including email)
· Provide assistance in raising invoices and liaising with customers for payment of debts
· Provide financial information to line manager and other staff in the organisation in accordance with agreed procedures.
· Escalate complex queries to line manager or other staff as appropriate
· Provide cover for other members of the Finance directorate, at a level commensurate with your grade, as directed by your line manager or supervisor.
· Carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role as delegated or requested.
