Clinical Support Worker

Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CSW to join the Elective Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery ward at Castle Hill Hospital.
The successful candidate will work alongside a team of clinicians to collectively deliver high standards of compassionate patient care on a busy 35 bedded ward.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for supporting the registered nurse or other professional in the delivery of direct patient care procedures. They will work within defined parameters to undertake clinical care, technical and clerical duties, informing their supervisor of duties undertaken, and the outcome of these. The post holder is required to continue to
demonstrate proficiently whilst in post.
Duties will include cannulation, taking blood, urinalysis and obtaining blood cultures. The candidate needs to understand and work accordingly within the trusts vision and values.
