Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Trainee Dental Nurse to join a well established team at Hull General Dental Services.

You will be a chairside Dental assistant supporting clinicians to carry out NHS and Private Dental care on a daily basis. This role requires Empathy, the ability to multitask in a fast paced clinical environment and offer outstanding patient care.

Main duties of the job

The applicant must have Math's and English grade A-C or equivalent in order to join the NEBDN course at Hull College one day per week. and will require to be vaccinated against Hepatitis B.  Experience in dental nursing is preferred.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore City Health Care Partnership would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

Essential criteria
  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above
  • NEBDN Qualification to be undertaken within an agreed timeframe as part of the development role

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of a range of administrative procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Dental Services
  • Knowledge of HTM105

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in reception / front line patient facing environment
  • Recent evidence or working in a patient care environment
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good listening skills
  • Able to adapt to different situations
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a clinical environment
