Job overview

You’ll be part of a supportive team that takes pride in keeping our residential healthcare setting running smoothly. Your work will help create a calm, hygienic space where clients can feel comfortable and well cared for. You’ll also work closely with colleagues to make sure daily tasks are well organised and completed to a high standard.

Main duties of the job

What you’ll do:
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment across all areas
  • Support with basic food preparation such as snacks, soups and sandwiches
  • Respond quickly to spillages and hygiene issues using safe working practices
  • Monitor standards, take part in inspections and help with action plans
  • Carry out simple record keeping, stock checks and equipment care
What we’re looking for:
  • NVQ Level 2 in cleaning or similar skills gained through experience
  • Basic food hygiene training
  • Understanding of safe working practices such as Health and Safety and COSHH
  • Experience in a cleaning role, ideally in a healthcare setting
  • A warm, friendly and professional approach, with good communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexibly and follow policies, procedures and uniform standards

  • NVQ level 2 in cleaning or equivalent level of knowledge and experience

  • Previous experience of working in a cleaning role, and a health care setting
