Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for an individual with strong SystmOne skills to join the Information Management team within City Health Care Partnership. The successful candidate must have experience of leading SystmOne projects and configuration, along with a keen interest in business intelligence.
Based at the Business Support Centre in Hull the role may also require you to travel across the East Riding with occasional visits to the Northwest. We are also able to offer hybrid working, allowing our team flexibility to work from home, whilst still maintaining contact with the team by attending the office two/three days per week.
In this position, you will contribute to the continuous advancement of our primary clinical system, SystmOne, working alongside the wider Systems team and subject matter experts, while also enjoying the scope to assume additional duties in training delivery and reporting.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a candidate that can work independently and within a team. The post holder must be able to work to tight deadlines, with a passion for developing clinical systems.
You must have excellent communication and engagement skills and be both effective and comfortable operating within a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project support the implementation of new SystmOne units
- Project support on SystmOne migration work
- Analyse and implement new functionality that crosses our clinical systems, both SystmOne and external integration systems e.g. 111 Direct Booking
- Supervision responsibilities
- Support our Training Manager in successful delivery of any training requests

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree, equivalent qualifications or equivalent level of knowledge, skill and experience
- SystmOne Train the Trainer or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
- Project Management qualification (Prince 2) or equivalent level of knowledge, skill and experience
- ECDL, NHS Elite, NHS Preparation for MOST or equivalent
- Allocate Software Administration skills
- Training specific courses/qualifications
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Good IT skills (Microsoft packages) and knowledge of the varied organisations IT systems
- Ability to process information in a logical order
- Ability to record information in an accurate and logical manner
- Ability to discuss and explain complex issues to employees
- Ability to interpret issues raised and explained by systems users
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation, and across multi-agency boundaries
- Good analytical skills to be able to analyse and interpret individuals’ learning needs to decide how best to deliver the training.
- Understanding of Data Quality issues and implementing measures to support quality through training and standardisation.
Desirable criteria
- SystmOne TTT Core, Community trained
- In depth knowledge of NHS IM&T systems such as SystmOne, Dawn, R4,Inform, Maps (E-Rostering), Software Europe Expenses, Covalent, ESR, Choose & Book
- In-depth knowledge of data requirements within NHS bodies
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of developing logical processes in compliance with existing policies and guidelines
- Significant experience of advanced level SystmOne administration skills
- Ability to record information in an accurate and logical manner
- Ability to discuss and explain technical issues to non-technical staff
- Ability to interpret complex technical problems explained by non-technical systems users
- Practical experience of delivering to non-technical staff on a one to one and group basis
- Support of complex IT systems
- Understanding of project lifecycle
- Ability to work under pressure to meet agreed service levels
Desirable criteria
- Administration experience of software packages used within healthcare
- Training qualification or demonstrable experience
- Experience of NHS IT systems such as SystmOne, Dawn, R4, Inform, , Maps (E-Rostering), Covalent, ESR, E-Referrals (Choose & Book)
