Job overview

This is a great opportunity to build skills in pharmacy administration while supporting better patient care across our GP practices.
You’ll work closely with the Pharmacy team, practice administrators and clinical colleagues to help patients access safe, timely and well‑coordinated medication support. Your role will make a real difference to how patients navigate prescriptions, appointments and wider pharmacy services.
What you’ll do:

  • Support patients, carers and visitors by handling queries in person and by phone
  • Liaise with Community Pharmacies and other healthcare colleagues to resolve medication queries and improve referrals
  • Record information accurately, make appointments and manage clinical tasks in line with practice procedures
  • Provide administration support for medication‑related projects and help train colleagues on new processes

Main duties of the job

What we’re looking for:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, plus Level 2 knowledge in administration or customer service
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to listen, reassure and problem‑solve
  • Good IT skills and the ability to work with accuracy under pressure
  • Experience working with others and using your own initiative; customer‑facing experience is valued
  • An organised, adaptable team member who can prioritise and follow procedures
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are committed to fair, inclusive and accessible recruitment where everyone’s contribution is valued.
