service is provided in line with the wider collaborative work plan.
You will provide a customer centered service which meets the needs of
our customer and ultimately the patients in our care, ensuring stock is
available when required.
Main duties of the job
You will work as a Supplies Site Lead predominantly based at one Trust site with the requirement to cover at both sites when necessary to coordinate teams managing all goods delivered in receipt and distribution, the materials management teams & stock replenishment services.
You will work to ensure an efficient and effective customer focused service is provided by your teams at all times ensuring clinical colleagues can deliver excellent patient care.
You will, investigate and resolve a range of problems relating to stock
ordering, stock management and stock availability, chasing outstanding orders as required.
Daily you will manage, lead, supervise and train a team of staff on-site to ensure a consistent service is delivered to stakeholders across the site.
You will complete any duties necessary to support the delivery of our services usually carried out by the Supply Chain Assistants.
You will support the Trust Supply Chain Manager with all supply chain related work as required.

Essential criteria
- Experience in the management of staff.
- Experience of working in an inventory management position with the use of inventory management systems- materials management, stores, warehousing etc...
- Good level of general health, able to complete manual handling and active duties related to the role
- Able to start work at 6am when necessary.
- Able to work using own initiative, making decisions when necessary.
- Able to work from any Trust site.
- Full UK manual driving license.
- Flexible approach, able to cope with changing priorities & workloads.
- IT literate, proficient in the use of Microsoft office, Microsoft Teams and other modern programmes.
- Excellent communicator, able to persuade and negotiate.
- Excellent problem solving ability.
- Experience working with and safeguarding confidential information.
- Able to organise and prioritise heavy workloads for self and for team.
