Job overview
The Rehabilitation ward is a 12-bedded purpose-built modern unit on the Castle Hill Hospital site, supported by a full MDT. The service is led by a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine and this post represents a replacement to maintain the Consultant medical staff numbers due to retirement. Outpatient services are provided from Castle Hill Hospital and the Artificial Limb unit.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide clinical input on the acute hospital site (HRI) as part of the acute rehabilitation team and will be expected to be part of the clinical leadership of the team. The post holder will be involved in the delivery of specialist rehabilitation as part of the Major trauma centre pathway. Opportunities exist to be involved in research activities and the development of service in line with evidence-based practice.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Full Registration with the GMC GMC Specialist Registration (or expected inclusion within 6 months)
- MRCP(UK) or equivalent qualification
- CCT (Rehabilitation Medicine)
Desirable criteria
- Postgraduate degree: e.g. MD, PhD
- Postgraduate qualification in Education or significant experience in post graduate training/teaching
