Principal Pharmacy Technician - Homecare Services, Band 6
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified registered pharmacy technician, with previous experience in a senior supervisory position, who is able to take a pro-active approach and willing to take a lead in the development of the pharmacy service.
You will lead and coordinate the Homecare service across the Trust, overseeing operational and staff management responsibilities with oversight from the Pharmacy Team Manager.
· Work collaboratively to develop new services and review existing homecare service specifications.
· Liaise with homecare providers and procurement to resolve payment and pricing issues.
· Ensure regular quality and financial reporting, audits, and performance reviews.
· You will participate in staff recruitment, induction, appraisals, training, and manage performance issues in line with Trust HR procedures.
· Lead continuous improvement through audit, governance, risk assessment, SOP development, and patient/service user feedback.
· Promote excellent customer service, effective communication, and a positive learning environment.
Main duties of the job
· You will be professionally and managerially responsible for Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants working within Homecare services.
· You will assist the Team Manager Homecare Services with the delivery, development, and monitoring of Homecare medicines services, working proactively and innovatively to meet organisational goals.
· This role includes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, strategic development, financial oversight, and direct service improvement.
· You will ensure compliance with professional, legal, and quality standards to support excellent patient care.
