This is an exciting leadership opportunity for candidates we are looking for a Band 7 Clinical Lead who wants to join a dynamic team.

Are you a BABCP accredited High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with substantial clinical and supervisory experience and want to develop your clinical leadership skills? We are a Lead Provider of Talking Therapies in the East Riding and work closely with our partner providers.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will assist the Senior Clinical Lead to provide clinical leadership to the team. 

The post holder will ensure that ERTT’s services are provided in a way that is consistent with the Trust’s values.

To escalate any clinical concerns to the Senior Clinical Lead.

To inform the Team Manager of any workforce concerns.

To work closely with the Team Manager and assist with complaints from a clinical perspective.

To represent the Senior Clinical Lead in internal and external meetings as required.

To ensure treatment interventions are designed and delivered to maximise achievement of the agreed targets and clinical outcomes for the service.

The post holder will contribute to service development and the delivery of care, in partnership with key stakeholders. 

To contribute to the development of the clinical team by identifying training needs.

To provide teaching and training packages to different professions and professional groups, within own area of expertise.

The post holder will maintain up-to-date knowledge of current practice, medication, and research evidence.

Qualifications, education and training

Essential criteria
  • A Post Graduate Diploma CBT qualification with evidence of delivering CBT in a Talking Therapy service (Equivalent to Master’s level study) or A Post Graduate Talking Therapy qualification in High Intensity CBT Psychological Therapies (Equivalent to Master’s level study)
  • Substantial post accreditation clinical experience in delivering evidence based psychological therapies in primary care
  • Talking Therapies HIT supervision qualification
  • BABCP accreditation
Desirable criteria
  • Core professional background
  • Additional qualification in a second treatment offered at step 3
  • LTC training

Knowledge and experience

Essential criteria
  • Substantial experience of providing evidence based Psychological Therapies in a Primary Care mental health setting
  • Substantial experience of treating a full range of psychological disorders using evidence based psychological interventions
  • Substantial experience of providing Clinical Supervision at Step 3 in relation to evidence based Psychological Therapies where there is an expectation of achieving agreed targets and clinical outcomes
  • Experience of conducting mental health and risk assessments in a Talking Therapies service
  • Demonstrate specialist understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary care
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of clinical leadership
  • Experience of service development participation
  • Experience of conducting audit and/or research
  • Clinical experience of working within a multidisciplinary team

  • Evidence of the ability to be resilient and maintain one’s own wellbeing whilst working in stressful situations and managing competing demands of the service
  • Ability to work sensitively and supportively with staff to change their way of working if required
  • Demonstrates an understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. Mental Capacity Act, Social Inclusion, Child Protection
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of leadership skills which demonstrate ethical values and attitudes within a culture of equality and diversity
  • Evidence of clinical project work which has had a positive impact on a service provision/workforce
