Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Senior Administrative Assistant to work within our busy admin team to provide admin and secretarial support to the Hull Primary Care Addictions Service.  

The successful applicant will undertake administrative/ secretarial  duties including direct contact with staff members. They will also provide support and guidance to staff members with the NDTMS database system.

-Part time position, office hours 9am – 5pm  Monday - Friday, can be 2 full days or split. Until September 2024, this will need to be Tuesday and Wednesdays to shadow current post holder.  

-Working within a supportive, friendly team.

-Training, development and regular supervision provided.

-Flexibility required for absence/annual leave cover when required.

 

Main duties of the job

Main duties will be typing clinical letters, diary management  and booking appointments for staff/managerial team,  processing referrals using the patient administration system (SystmOne), general administrative &  management and upload of NDTMS national reporting data.   

You will be required to act on your own initiative and project a professional image at all times.   

The successful candidate will be required to maintain Trust standards when using electronic/computerised records.  Applicants must have RSA III and OCRIII / ECDL or equivalent and have previous experience of carrying out general administrative procedures in an office environment. Experience of using software packages including Microsoft Word and Excel are essential. Experience of SystmOne/EMIS or NDTMS desirable.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Advanced keyboard skills: RSA/OCR III or equivalent/Advanced ECDL
  • 3 or more GCSE/O levels which must include English and Maths
Desirable criteria
  • Medical terminology

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstratable experience of practice and procedures relevant to the area of work.
  • Knowledge and experience of IT systems e.g. Lorenzo, ESR, health roster, oracle
  • Experience of audio
